Inspiration for this painting was from a scene at Toketee Lake where I had taken a group to paint during one of my workshops. I quickly made an oil sketch to later make this painting from. I was so impressed by the peacefulness of the reflections on the surface of the water and the pale peach of late afternoon light. I replaced the dusty parking area with colorful flora.
